What exactly is a NeoPet?


Technically, a Neopet is bits of computer data (as put by someone I know who is not particulary fond of NeoPets). In reality, a NeoPet is a little "creature" (made out of bits of computer data that you have care of. There are many species (the two in the sanctuary are an Aisha and an Uni.) You can choose the colour (red, yellow, blue, or green), gender, or species of your pet.Your pet will also have stats: strength, hit points, speed, defence, etc. Of course, you can also name your pet. (This may be a little more difficult than you think! There are over six million NeoPets!) No downloading is required. Join here.

So what do I do now?

Now you are ready to join the NeoPet community! Remember to find some food to feed your pet with. You may also want to buy some toys and books for your pet.

Are you saying that I have to spend REAL money on NeoPets???

No, of course not. Do you think that four million people would have signed up if they had?

So what do I spend, then?

You spend Neopoints (np) in Neopia.

And where can I spend them?
